Kickoff starts on Thursday, followed by a few games on Friday, a full slate of games on Saturday, including the heavyweight battle between Alabama and Florida St. This is going to be a fun one to watch as Alabama and Florida St. may just see each other again in the College Football Playoff. The games don’t end on Saturday, though, as we are rewarded with more college football on Sunday with West Virginia vs. Virginia Tech and what should be a good game between UCLA and Texas A&M. The football weekend finally wraps up on Monday Night with Georgia Tech taking on Tennessee.  It looks like a great full weekend of College Football before the start of the NFL Season.

As we will do all season, we will give you 3 college selections and when the NFL kickoffs we will also give you three NFL games. Now let’s take a look at this week’s college football selections.

Indiana is a pesky team, but this is somewhat of a bounce-back year for Ohio St. QB JT Barrett has a chance at the Heisman, and new Offensive Coordinator Kevin Wilson will open the playbook. Ohio St. also has the edge on defense with strong defensive front. Indiana may be able to beat the Ohio St. secondary, but it will not be enough as the Buckeyes look to set the tone for the 2017 season.

Charlie Strong didn’t win enough in Austin, but he did recruit well for incoming Head Coach Tom Herman. Herman should get the most out of an underperforming offensive unit and only needs to light a fire under a big defensive line. Texas stops the Maryland ground attack and wins by 20.

Western Michigan is a gritty team but no longer has WR Corey Davis, a first-round NFL Draft pick, to fight for the ball and keep drives alive. USC is loaded with talent and clicked when Heisman hopeful QB Sam Darnold took the reins last season. USC to big and fast on both sides of the ball in their home opener.
