Week 3 NFL Survivor Pool Picks and Advice: Official Selections from Two Former Winners
Week 3 in the NFL is when teams start to figure out who they are in the first half of the NFL season. We will find out if teams like the Detroit Lions and the Kansa City Chiefs are early-season contenders or pretenders.
Much like the NFL, the sports service industry has a lot of pretenders telling you they are the best in the industry. We stand by Doc’s Sports as the most trusted name in professional sports handicapping, and they are offering our readers a great deal this week. As a reminder, we all play multiple cards, so we will offer four cards each that will run simultaneously throughout the season until we are knocked out. Once we have a loss on a card we will add an “X” at the end and will no longer offer picks on that card. Jeremy Martin was knocked out early this season with New England in Week 1 but was able to buy back in with two new cards and said he is picking Philly and New England this week.
Here are the official NFL Survivor Pool picks and analysis for Week 3:
Kyle McCarthy
Card 1: Pittsburgh, Oakland, Miami
Card 2: Pittsburgh, Oakland, Miami
Card 3: Atlanta, Seattle, Green Bay
Card 4: Atlanta, Seattle, Green Bay
Analysis: Some experts are calling for the Miami game to be close vs. the hapless New York Jets. Yes the Jets hung around in the first half vs. the Oakland Raiders before eventually collapsing, but the Dolphins are well-rounded offensively with a strong running game featuring bruising back Jay Ajayi. QB Jay Cutler has plenty to throw to with Jarvis Landry underneath and Kenny Stills and Devante Parker stretching the field. The Miami D stopped a much better offensive unit last week on the road vs. the Chargers, and we do not expect the Jets to have much success in this one. Our other selection is the Green Bay Packers to overwhelm the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals will have a new offensive coordinator for this game, and Lambeau Field is not the place to introduce a new rhythm on offense. Aaron Rodgers should have time to deal in this game vs. an overmatched Bengal secondary. Green Bay will win this one going away
