Week 11 NFL Survivor Pool Picks: Official Predictions from Former Winners
Arizona was my top Week 10 NFL Survivor Pool pick and they were pushed to the brink by the San Francisco 49ers but ended up winning by three. Most alive in my pool stayed that way as there were not any major upsets, save for the Patriots, who most Survivor Pool competitors had already used anyways.
I always remind the readers not to make risky plays at this point in the season. Picking the Texans to upset the Raiders in Mexico City will make you look like a genius if you are right, but you got this far in the season and now you blew it by making a dumb mistake if they lose. The prize is in sight here so it’s more important than ever to make sound decisions. A couple people in my pool made real risky picks last week, and that is fine with me if other people want to take that risk! For me, I’m looking for the best possible pick this week.
For the remainder of the season, myself and SurvivorPoolPicks.com co-founder Kyle McCarthy will provide one big favorite, one under-the-radar team and one team to stay away from for each week of the NFL season through Week 17.

Best Big Favorite
Pittsburgh at Cleveland: I’m not in love with this pick as I think the Browns will get at least one win on the season. It’s a real source of pride for these players to stay out of the history books, and we expect some spirited efforts down the stretch. But we don’t think this is the week. Pittsburgh has owned this series lately, and after four straight losses this is a “get-right” game for them. I think there’s a good chance we see a blowout here.
Under-the-Radar Pick
Carolina vs. New Orleans: Two flawed teams here, but I think the Panthers are the better team and they should get the win here. Of course, I had them as my under-the-radar pick last week and they were upset in heartbreaking fashion to the Chiefs. You may have already used the Panthers, so I will mention Indianapolis as an honorable mention.
Stay Away
Oakland vs. Houston: I always say stay away from these international games, and this one will be played in Mexico City. I think the travel and unfamiliar setting here may even out this matchup. And I just don’t think the Raiders are as good as their record might indicate and think this is a team that could struggle down the stretch.

Best Big Favorite
Dallas vs. Baltimore: The Ravens offer the #1 rushing defense in the NFL going up against the NFL’s strongest running game of the Dallas Cowboys. No one has been able to stop the Dallas Cowboys attack yet, and Baltimore does not have the offensive weapons to play catch up on a short clock if they fall behind. Dallas wears down the Ravens and pulls away late.
Under-the-Radar Pick
Miami vs. Los Angeles: Things have started to gel in Miami as they have won 4 in a row behind the hard running style of Jay Ajayi and a revitalized defense. QB Ryan Tannehill isn’t being asked to shoulder the offensive load, and that is a good thing. Los Angeles has decided to give Rookie QB Jared Goff a go and may be without top defensive lineman Robert Quinn. Dolphins stayed out west to avoid coast to coast travel.
Stay Away
Kansas City vs. Tampa Bay: The conservative Chiefs don’t have an explosive offense to offer up this many points to a young Tampa Bay team that doesn’t give in very easily. Bucs RB Doug Martin should be back for this one giving an extra weapon to young QB Jameis Winston.
