Beware the upset! There are upsets every week in pro football, but the way these Confidence Pools are designed, going upset crazy won’t work out well in the long run. You must be conservative when making your picks and make upset picks sparingly. If you feel very strongly about an upset pick, by all means take that team. But those that pick a lot of upsets each week in these pools generally don’t do very well in the long run.
Each week of the pro football season Kyle McCarthy and I will provide our predictions for NFL Confidence Pools exclusively on this blog. We rank our expert predictions in order from the strongest to the weakest each week of the football season. Check back next week for NFL Week 11 Confidence Pool picks.

8. Baltimore over Cleveland

Analysis: The Cardinals are my top pick for Week 10 NFL Survivor Pools and they are also my top pick for NFL Confidence Pool picks. They are off the bye and even though they have not played well recently they have an opponent that they can dominate on Sunday in the Niners. Again I am going chalk for a lot of these picks and any upsets I picked are on the small spreads and they are lower down the list. I was tempted to pick Cleveland to win over Baltimore but the Ravens will probably get the win although I think the current line of 10 points is too much in this game.

Analysis: Arizona is hard to pick against this week coming off a bye and also desperate for win in what has been a disappointing season so far. The Cardinals hammered the 49ers 33-21 in San Francisco back in Week 5 in a game that was not as close as the score. Like the first match-up between these two teams expect a heavy dose of stud Cardinal RB David Johnson. Not many upsets in what is a pretty vanilla week but we do like Miami to stay hot over San Diego and for the Cowboys to steal a win in Pittsburgh this Sunday.
