First a bit or NFL Confidence Pool strategy. You always want to take some underdogs because upsets happen every week in the NFL. But use them sparingly and never rank them too high unless you are very confident. If you are way behind in your pool at the end of the season then you can rank underdogs higher in an attempt to quickly make up points. But you have to be conservative as that is the best strategy in these types of office pools.
Each week of the pro football season Kyle McCarthy and I will provide our NFL Confidence Pool picks here exclusively at SurvivorPoolPicks.com in order to help you dominate your pool. We rank the predictions in order from the strongest to the weakest each week. Check back next week for NFL Week 7 Confidence Pool picks.
NFL Confidence Pool picks Week 6 from Expert Pro Football Handicappers
Jeremy Martin
- New England over Cincinnati
2. Pittsburgh over Miami
3. Kansas City over Oakland
4. Green Bay over Dallas
5. Denver over San Diego
6. Seattle over Atlanta
7. Tennessee over Cleveland
8. Houston over Indianapolis
9. Detroit over Los Angeles
10. Carolina over New Orleans
11. New York Giants over Baltimore
12. Jacksonville over Chicago
13. Washington over Philadelphia
14. Buffalo over San Francisco
15. New York Jets over Arizona
Analysis: I’m still undecided on my NFL Survivor Pool picks for Week 6. My first instinct was Buffalo over San Francisco but after talking to some handicappers I know and doing some further research I have soured on them and that’s why I dropped them all the way down to 14. I have the Chiefs upsetting the Raiders on the road for my top upset as Kansas City is the better team, Andy Reid is brilliant off the bye and I just don’t see the Chiefs falling to 2-3. As you can see I also mildly like the Jets for the upset but I ranked them pretty low in order to be conservative.

- Pittsburgh over Miami
2. New England over Cincinnati
3. Arizona over New York Jets
4. Buffalo over San Francisco
5. Chicago over Jacksonville
6. Carolina over New Orleans
7. Cleveland over Tennessee
8. Philadelphia over Washington
9. New York Giants over Baltimore
10. Denver over San Diego
11. Kansas City over Oakland
12. Seattle over Atlanta
13. Detroit over Los Angeles
14. Dallas over Green Bay
15. Houston over Indianapolis
Analysis: I like Pittsburgh as my top play for Confidence Pools this week. The return of Le’Veon Bell has allowed young WR Sammie Coats to get behind defenses and beat teams deep. Miami is a one-dimensional passing team with an ineffective QB in Ryan Tannehill. Miami does not have the firepower to stay with Pittsburgh. We are calling for Cleveland to get their first win of the season as both teams offer strong run games that will keep the game close. Cleveland has the ability to throw the deep ball, which is a weakness in Hall of Fame Defensive Coordinator Dick LeBeau’s 3-4 defense.
