Week 5 NFL Survivor Pool Picks and Advice: Official Selections from Three Former Winners
While there is no such thing as a “lock” in sports betting, New England looks like it’s close for Week 5 NFL Survivor Pool picks. The Patriots are 10.5-point favorites on Sunday at the Browns, everyone’s favorite fade team in 2016. But as a Survivor Pool player, you have to decide if you want to go with the herd or go against them. As our weekly poll indicates, the Patriots will be one of the all-time most popular picks this week. I’m in a pool that started off with nearly 200 players but is down to around 60, so I already have my eyes on the prize and want to play things conservatively and then use my expert handicapping skills down the line when pools get tougher in order to give me the best chance to win. If you are in a much larger pool you may want to play defense and try to pick a team that not everybody else will be on.
SurvivorPoolPicks.com has an awesome deal for you this week as Doc’s Sports has offered our readers $60 worth of members betting picks from any of the 10 Advisory Board handicappers on their Web site – this is a no-pressure offer and there is no credit card required. Get your $60 free picks deal here with a 2-minute signup. This company has stood the test of time for 40+ years, and in our opinion is the best handicapping site in the industry.
Here’s how this works. Each expert will provide four weekly Survivor Pool picks cards. We advise to always play multiple cards in your pool, so we provide multiple cards to our readers – the same picks we use in our real-life Survivor Pools. These are to help you as a gauge for your own picks but we always advise readers to do their own homework and make the pick they think has the best possible chance to help them advance.

Analysis: Free Tom Brady!!! Make the Patriots Great Again!!! Expect the Patriots to return to form. Bill Belichick gets to play mind games with rookie QB Cody Kessler and the Patriots offense gets Brady back. Patriots play inspired and get the W over Cleveland. Carolina has a bit of a Super Bowl hangover and the Tampa Bay Bucs are the cure. Carolina cannot afford to drop to 1-4. Tampa will not be able to cover big WR Kelvin Benjamin and the Carolina defensive unit steps up.

Analysis: Welp, I am down to one card. I actually changed my Arizona pick in my real-life pool to Cincinnati after this article was published so I have two cards alive in my pool. But for the sake of this weekly advice article I will go with what we published. New England is a no-brainer this week. Yes, Cleveland has played well the last three weeks, but they are simply overmatched here and Tom Brady returns with a chip on his shoulder. This one should get ugly. Don’t try to get tricky here and just survive until Week 6.
