Week 2 NFL Survivor Pool Picks and Advice: Official Selections from Three Former Winners
Here are our Week 2 NFL Survivor Pool picks from three former winners. Although these are our official selections, we reserve the right to make changes up to the point that these picks are posted on our Web site on Saturdays. For instance, Carolina is a popular pick with our experts, but if Cam Newton were to become questionable by Saturday we might change the picks. The picks posted on our homepage at SurvivorPoolPicks.com on Saturday will be the final, official picks for the week. (Editor’s note, due to technical difficulties we could not send a newsletter this week so these will be our official picks, although we will wait until Saturday to submit picks to our personal pool in case Cam Newton has any issues in practice this week).
Also, for SurvivorPoolPicks.com readers, we have a great offer as Doc’s Sports has allowed us to offer our readers $60 worth of members’ picks from any handicapper on their Web site – you won’t have to deal with a salesman and no credit card is needed (they just want to give you a chance to try the service). Click here for the $60 worth of free picks.
Each expert will use four Survivor Pool cards over the course of the season. Once a team loses then that card will be dead and it will be noted in the string. We always advise to use multiple cards, and we normally play four entries in our main Survivor Pool, so we will be using the same picks that we will be playing ourselves.
We had some luck on our side in Week 1, but all our expert picks advanced. Let’s hope we don’t have to sweat as much for Week 2!
Without further ado, here are our Week 2 NFL Survivor Pool picks and advice:

Card 1:
Week 1: Kansas City
Week 2: Arizona
Card 2:
Week 1: Seattle
Week 2: Carolina
Card 3:
Week 1: Houston
Week 2: Carolina
Card 4:
Week 1: Kansas City
Week 2: Carolina
Analysis: The Panthers lost in Week 1 in a tough game at Denver, but they will be out for blood against one of the worst teams in the league and in their home opener here in Week 2. This team had extra rest and the Niners are on a short week. Carolina is the biggest betting favorite on the board. Tampa Bay looked pretty good in Week 1, but they travel on the road again and play a team that is one of the best in the NFC and doesn’t want to start 0-2 after losing a tough one to the Patriots in Week 1.

Week 2: Carolina
Card 2:
Week 1: Houston
Week 2: Carolina
Card 3:

Week 2: Arizona
Card 4:
Week 1: Houston
Week 2: Arizona
Analysis:
Once again we are taking just 2 teams for our 4 cards. This should tell you we are highly confident in these 2 selections. Our first selection is the Carolina Panthers, who return for their home opener with extra time to prepare for the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have to travel across country for an early start against the defending NFC Champions, who are hungry for their first win. Arizona is another NFC team with Super Bowl aspirations who had a disappointing Week 1 loss. Tampa Bay is young team on the road for a 2nd week in a row vs. a contending team that does not want to start the season 0-2.
