LSU’s strength is the rumbling, tumbling running game featuring future #1 NFL draft pick Leonard Fournette and a stout defense. Mississippi St counters with a strong defense of its own and should get just enough out of their offense led by big 6’5 Quarterback Nick Fitzgerald. Mississippi St hung tough in a 21-19 loss last year. Expect the running games and defenses to keep this one.

The strength of the Bills offense is the running game led by LeSean McCoy and mobile QB Tyrod Taylor. The Jets counter with the return big run stuffing Nose Tackle Sheldon Richardson. With the Bills passing game hobbled with the not fully healthy Sammy Watkins we don’t expect the Bills to be able to do much offensively. Jets do just enough when they have the ball and get a road win.

Detroit returns home after hanging onto win a shoot over the Indianapolis Colts. Detroit and the Jim Bob Cooter offense was to push he pass are throw the ball whenever they can. Tennessee will try to slow them down with a smash mouth running game. If this game was in Tennessee we may give Titans another look but on the face track in Detroit the passing game wins out.

Carson Wentz looked the part in his 1st NFL start and Eagle fans everywhere claimed they knew it all along. The Eagles should offer just enough of a ground game with Ryan Mathews to keep the Bears off of Wentz. Meanwhile Bears Quarterback Jay Cutler likes to give the ball away and that has the aggressive Eagle defense led by defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz licking their chops.
