Free NFL Week 8 & Week 9 NCAA Betting Picks from Expert Football Handicapper

Week 8 of NCAA College Football and Week 7 of the NFL had us on the wrong side for the second week in a row. Penn State failed to cover the -6.5 and squeaked out a 31-30 over Maryland. Pitt -7 had a chance for the push vs. Syracuse, but they went conservative and kicked a fourth-quarter field goal and helped out the other side in a 23-20 win over Syracuse. Our sole winner was an easy one with Toledo -14.5 cruising to a 51-35 win over UMass. Overall for the weekend free college picks we were 1-2.

We also went 1-2 in Week 6 of the NFL. Pittsburgh -1 looked tired vs. a Kansas City team and lost outright 23-13. Detroit +2 as a home dog got off to a good start, jumping to an early 14-3 first-quarter lead but could not carry the momentum and lost 28-19 to the Minnesota Vikings. Arizona – 8 was looking like a cover as they were leading 26-10 in the fourth quarter, but a blocked punt and a 2-point conversion made it 26-18 and made a win into a push. Big look-ahead spot for newly appointed No. 1 Clemson as they have Florida State on deck. NC State comes in off a bye with a lot of motivation to take down the new No. 1. Clemson may get the win, but they will have to earn it vs. a gritty NC State team.

We are big fans of Sonny Dykes and Cal QB Jared Goff, but the USC Trojans are a rejuvenated bunch under interim head coach Clay Helton. No one questioned USC’s talent coming into the season, and now that they are playing with desire and motivation it is going to be tough for Cal to hang close. Get on USC early at Bovada as this number will probably jump on Saturday.

The hate has gone too far on the Dallas Cowboys, who only allowed one offensive TD vs. the NY Giants last week. The Cowboys defensive line has the talent to make it a long day for Seattle QB Russell Wilson. With both the Cowboys and Seahawks wanting to run the ball, it will make for a low-scoring close game.
