Pick No. 1

Cleveland +4.5 over Denver

Love the line on this one for the home underdog. I think the Browns are very underrated right now, and they are playing some pretty solid defense. The Broncos are not as good as their record might indicate, and they are not a good enough team to win every game. They will hit some rough spots along the way, and we think they are on upset alert here against a Browns team that is playing with a lot of confidence right now. 2-Unit Straight Bet

Minnesota -4 over Kansas City

The Chiefs already looked shaky this season, but when Jamaal Charles left Sunday’s game against the Bears this team just looked lost. They proceeded to give up a two-touchdown lead and lose the game. And they were in the red zone with a chance to go up three scores when that injury happened! Minnesota is coming off their bye, so they have an extra advantage here. I had this game handicapped at 6.5, so I think there is some nice value here. It will take a couple weeks for the Chiefs to figure out their gameplan without Charles, and this looks like a very weak line.

1-Unit Straight Bet on both side and total

Washington +6 over New York Jets

Washington/New York Jets UNDER 40.5

This one should be a defensive battle with a lot of running. That should keep the score low. That is also why we like the underdog in addition to the total. Just not a believer in New York as a big favorite like this. Washington is one of the teams we like a lot as an underdog because they play solid D and run the ball well. This one should be a defensive battle all the way. If this line goes to 7 we will probably bump the side play up a unit. Green Bay -10 over San Diego

The Packers are one of the most dominating home teams in the NFL. They get San Diego off a short week and off a very deflating loss at home on Monday Night football. If Mike Vick is able to beat them at home, Aaron Rodgers is really going to have his way with them at Lambeau. This one has blowout written all over it to me.

Pick No. 5

1-Unit Straight Bet

Indianapolis +9.5 over New England (CarbonSports.ag)

Everyone and their mother is on the Pats this week. I really like to go against the public, and I think this is a good spot. Get this number before it goes down as I expect Andrew Luck to play for the Colts. Indy has looked better the last couple weeks, and this is one of their biggest games of the season. I think they will be competitive here at home, and the Pats are due for a down game.
