Free NFL Week 3 & Week 4 NCAA Betting Picks from Expert Football Handicapper

In Week 3 NCAA College Football it looked like we would finish 2-1 in our selections, but a 40-yard run for TD by Texas with 1:30 left in the fourth quarter put Texas behind by a point. Looked like OT and another chance to cover the -6.5 -point spread, but the Texas kicker missed the extra point!! In the end we went 1-2 with only Florida State covering with both Cal and UCLA failing to cover the Bovada spread. We are 4-2 in our published NCAA picks.

The NFL was a little kinder with Arizona and Pittsburgh giving us two easy wins. We were high on the Houston defense coming into the year and thought but they would be able to slow down the Panthers, who do not have a go-to WR. Houston let us down, and we finished the NFL Week 2-1. We are now 3-3 for the year against the Bovada Sports Book number.

Although we got burned by UCLA last week, they showed us mental toughness overcoming three first-half turnovers to get a win. QB Anu Solomon is an inaccurate passer for Arizona, and UCLA gets its top cornerback Ishmael Adams back after a three-game suspension. UCLA has a struggling QB of their own in Josh Rosen but will most likely turn to a ground-and-pound game versus Arizona’s 3-3-5 defense. Lay the 4 points at Bovada and take the Top 10-ranked UCLA Bruins.

Arizona State lost its opener to Texas A&M in College Station, and everyone jumped off the preseason hype train. Losing to Texas A&M in College Station is nothing to be ashamed off, and Todd Graham is a solid coach who can right the ship quickly. The same can’t be said of Steve Sarkisian, who never got it going in Washington and has not been overly impressive in his return to USC. Arizona State has an underrated home-field advantage. Take the home dog is this one .

Bowling Green is scoring a lot of points with a fast-paced offense. Purdue’s defense has not able to stop any viable opponent, allowing 41 points to Marshall and allowing Virginia Tech to score 51 points. Bowling Green has played top-tier competition (Tennessee, Maryland and Memphis) and will not be afraid of Purdue. Lay the -1 at Bovada.

We will continue to fade San Francisco until the Bovada line gets too high and loses its value. Arizona is a tough place to play, and the team is clicking on all cylinders on both sides of the ball. San Francisco came crashing back to reality last week in getting crushed by the Pittsburgh Steelers. In a very similar game, Arizona wins easily.

The only team that has stopped the Steelers offense lately has been the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers get Le’Veon Bell back from suspension, and that will only keep the highly-touted Rams defense on its heels. We don’t expect Rams QB Nick Foles to keep pace. Pittsburgh covers the -1 easily.

The Bengals are a deep team with lots of offensive options, allowing them not to rely on Andy Dalton. That is when Andy Dalton is at his best. Geno Atkins is back to being his disruptive self, while the Ravens lost their defensive identity when Terrell Suggs was lost for the year to injury. This will be a tough grind-it-out game, and we will take the deeper and more talented team.
